LEARNING A WHOLE NEW LANGUAGE

Heart SoaringI will have to learn a whole new language!“   That comment came  from a  lady in Belgium with whom I correspond  by e mail.  Belgium is legally bi-lingual,  French and Dutch being the primary languages, but she was not referring to the necessity to learn English, as she already has a very good command of English (otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to talk to her—I’m American, you know).  What prompted her comment was that she had just received her first issue of Creative Thought, as a gift from our Center. She was realizing, as she read the  Daily Treatments and affirmative articles, that she was being invited to learn a new way of thinking—a new way of talking to herself, which indeed demands a whole new language”—A  new language that tells us that we are far more than we appear to be, and that the Power to create the kind of life we desire is within each one of us.

I’ve been e-chatting with Frieda for about six months, since she sent me an e mail asking me questions about things she had read in my articles on our web site. Thus began an exchange that has enriched me and I believe has meant a great deal to her.  It has been, and is, a real pleasure and blessing to me to help Frieda to understand this ‘new language’—and she has taught me a few of her expressions also.  Our English is not the only language with words or phrases that do not easily translate.

Frieda, lives with her younger daughter, Marike, and has obviously been seeking some spiritual sustenance that resonates for her for some time. She says, “You cannot imagine how it feels to have to keep silent about the things that are “burning” in one’s heart and soul for years and years.  Now I have peace, I am ‘dancing’ through the day, I know How It Works!”

Frieda, most of us have been there, done that  on our spiritual journey— our search for something that makes sense. We do know how it feels!  And we are glad to finally realize how It works!  Recently, I had a note from you that said, “I have learned more from you in six months than I have learned on my own in 15 years.”

We have an expression, Frieda: “When the student is ready, the Teacher will appear.”    We’re happy that you found us, and have decided to become a student of The Science of Mind along with us!  In our teaching, we are all students—for Life—and we are all teachers of each other—for Life.  I am honored to have you as a fellow student of Life, and of The Science of Mind.

Haai, Frieda!  We are glad to have you as a ‘Virtual
Member’ of our Center!  Let us grow together into the future, learning from each other!

Namaste,
Reverend Jay
