Marcus Aurelius, the Pagan Roman emperor- philosopher who lived between 121-180 A.D., said, “Your life is what your thoughts make it.”
This was not a new concept at that time; the idea had been stated by many philosophers before him, and has echoed through the ages, as great thinkers such as the teacher Jesus, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Thomas Troward and many others have told us that thoughts become things; that our experience of life is a reflection of the way we think…..that there is a Law of Attraction which works for us 24 hours a day, bringing into our life the things, the experiences, that our thoughts, feelings and actions embody.
The documentary film, THE SECRET, which has recently received much publicity via Oprah, Larry King, Newsweek, and other media, presents what is basically the teaching that Ernest Holmes puts forth in his book THE SCIENCE OF MIND, which is not something he made up, but simply the culmination of all the great teachings of the past, and which gives us a method that we can use to think correctly and attract into our lives what we want, rather than what we don’t want.
The movie implies that, over the ages, those who were aware of this ‘secret’ went to great lengths to keep the knowledge from other people—like some evil cabal. The fact is that those wise souls went to great lengths to re- veal what they knew to the world; otherwise, Jesus would not have taught, Emerson would not have written, Holmes would not have studied extensively to find the golden thread that brought all of this great thought together in cohesive form.
The problem has been that—as Jesus pointed the way—the world stared at his finger tip and missed the point; as Emerson and the others shared their insights, the world largely ignored them. And today, even as many are excited about bringing The Secret to the world, there will still be many who will regard it as superstitious nonsense and ignore it—going on their way, using the Law of Attraction unknowingly, bringing into their lives
whatever turns up! The Law works—like it or not!

about: The Law of Attraction is one of the Laws of Life, and the only ‘secret’ involved is in learning to use it correctly to achieve what we desire in life. That’s all we
